Senior Project Manager - Operational Management Platform

Nursery Management Platform (Finance-Focused SaaS Implementation)

6-month FTC with strong likelihood of 12
Central London, hybrid (2 days/week)

I'm recruiting a Senior Project Manager for a London charitable social enterprise in early-years education - 1,200 people, 40+ sites - to lead the implementation of the platform their entire operation will run on.

This system holds everything: children's records and daily logs, the parent-facing journey, and - critically - the money: funding streams, billing and invoicing. So this role needs a PM who is genuinely strong on finance. You'll work closely with Finance stakeholders on billing models, funding and forecasting, and you'll need to hold your own in those conversations.

What you'll own:

  • End-to-end delivery: discovery, requirements, vendor selection, configuration, data migration, UAT, training, rollout and adoption across 40+ sites
  • Migration from an incumbent system involving highly sensitive data - children's and family records - where GDPR and data risk have to be second nature, and documentation must stand up to regulatory audit
  • The vendor relationship: contracts, budget, invoices, and holding third parties to account through rollout
  • Governance done properly: RAID logs, RAG status, roadmaps, weekly reporting - planned in MS Project or Smartsheet
  • Hands-on BA work: user requirements, parent and staff journeys, workflows and process maps
  • Bringing a non-project-native organisation along - this is their first proper PM function, and part of the job is showing people what good looks like

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
