About the Role
At CGI, you'll lead the successful delivery of complex projects that help transform critical services across government and secure environments. As a Senior Project Manager, you'll work with multidisciplinary teams and senior client stakeholders to deliver high-impact programmes that drive meaningful outcomes.
You'll take ownership of project delivery from initiation through to completion, ensuring solutions are delivered to the highest standards while collaborating with experienced colleagues who will support your continued professional growth and career development.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, active UK Security Clearance (SC) is required for this position. This is a hybrid role based in London, with a minimum of three days per week in the office.

Candidate Profile
In this role, you will lead the delivery of complex projects and programmes within a secure client environment, taking responsibility for delivering agreed outcomes to time, cost and quality. You'll manage project plans, governance, budgets and delivery teams while working closely with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. Your leadership will help identify and manage risks, resolve issues and maintain effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
You'll also contribute to a culture of delivery excellence by promoting best practice, supporting continuous improvement and building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders. Working across multidisciplinary teams, you'll play a key role in delivering projects that provide lasting value to our clients while mentoring colleagues and helping strengthen CGI's project delivery capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead & deliver complex projects and programmes from initiation through to closure
- Develop & maintain project plans, schedules, budgets and governance documentation
- Manage & mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies and change requests
- Coordinate & lead multidisciplinary delivery teams, suppliers and client stakeholders
- Monitor & report project progress, finances, milestones and resource requirements
- Ensure & maintain compliance with governance, security and quality standards
- Advise & support senior stakeholders with delivery decisions and escalations
- Drive & embed continuous improvement and delivery best practice
- Build & maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle
- Support & contribute to successful programme and portfolio delivery

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
You'll be an experienced Project Manager with a proven track record of delivering complex projects within secure or highly regulated environments. You'll have excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, alongside the ability to manage competing priorities while maintaining focus on quality, governance and client outcomes.
Essential Qualifications
- Significant experience delivering complex projects or programmes
- Strong project leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Experience managing project budgets, resources, suppliers and delivery plans
- Good knowledge of Agile, Waterfall and hybrid delivery methodologies
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
- Strong risk, issue, dependency and change management experience
- Experience working within structured governance and reporting frameworks
Desirable Qualifications
- PRINCE2, MSP, APM or equivalent project management certification
- Experience within Policing, Central Government, Emergency Services or Telecommunications
- Experience delivering projects within secure or mission-critical environments
