2840 – Senior Project Manager (OT)

Join a people-centred technology team that thrives on innovation, collaboration and delivering meaningful outcomes. We're looking for a talented and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex network, infrastructure and technology transformation projects within a highly regulated environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing project delivery from initiation through to implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. You will work closely with technical teams, architects, suppliers and senior stakeholders to coordinate delivery, manage risk and provide clear governance throughout the project lifecycle.

This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused Project Manager who possesses strong technical awareness across enterprise infrastructure and networking environments, whilst retaining a commercially focused and stakeholder-centric approach.

📍 Location: Glasgow or Perth (Hybrid working)
🔁 Contract Type: Contract or Permanent

Candidate Profile

We're looking for a technically aware Project Manager rather than a hands-on engineer. The ideal candidate will understand enterprise networking and infrastructure concepts, be comfortable discussing architecture and design documentation with technical specialists and have the credibility to challenge delivery approaches when required. You will be commercially astute, delivery-focused and capable of operating confidently with senior stakeholders, suppliers and technical teams alike. Experience within regulated, operational or critical infrastructure environments would be highly advantageous.

What you’ll do

  • Lead the delivery of complex infrastructure, network and technology projects.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource forecasts and budget tracking.
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues, dependencies and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Coordinate internal technical teams, external suppliers and business stakeholders to ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor project performance against agreed milestones and objectives.
  • Produce clear and concise project reporting for programme and senior leadership teams.
  • Ensure adherence to project governance frameworks, policies and standards.
  • Manage project finances, including forecasting, budget control and change management.
  • Facilitate project boards, steering committees and stakeholder meetings.
  • Identify and resolve delivery challenges, proactively escalating where required.
  • Support procurement, supplier management and contract delivery activities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of project delivery methodologies and governance processes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
