Senior Project Manager, Trade Execution Management Systems (TEMS) - Financial Solutions

Description & Requirements

Bloomberg TEMS builds and delivers high-performance distributed systems that streamline the trading and transacting of money and financial assets. Our platform empowers clients to compose, adapt, and scale intelligent systems for Fixed Income markets with a level of configurability and control that was previously impossible.

Our Project Managers lead client engagements alongside our Software Integration Engineers. The engineers are responsible for technical delivery: how the software is built, integrated, tested, and deployed safely into production. Project Managers are accountable for project delivery: the outcome, the milestones, and the risks from signed contract through go-live and into steady state. You'll run several client engagements at once across tier-one banks, asset managers, and hedge funds. The role is central to how we scale delivery as our product footprint grows.

As a Project Manager, we'll expect you to:

  • Be accountable for project outcomes across several concurrent client engagements. Each one implements Bloomberg TEMS order and execution management platforms across Fixed Income workflows, including government bonds, rates, repo, credit, and money markets.
  • Partner with the Software Integration Engineers to turn customer committed scope into delivery plans, milestones, and go-live schedules, and hold the engagement to them.
  • Work with core engineering teams to track product deliveries your engagements depend on, keep them aligned with client milestones, and act early when they slip. That means agreeing re-plans, workarounds, or scope trade-offs, and resetting client expectations where needed.
  • Identify and flag risks early, and problem-solve issues and blockers so delivery keeps moving. Bring in the right engineering, product, or client stakeholders to unblock them.
  • Protect scope and commercials. Log change requests, assess their impact on scope and timelines, and raise them with the product team for prioritization. Track time-and-materials effort against budget, and flag burn and margin risk before it lands.
  • Partner with Professional Services leadership to manage client expectations and sentiment. Provide early warning when a relationship is at risk, align on messaging before difficult conversations, and represent delivery in account reviews and steering committees.
  • Partner with Software Integration Engineers so that technical plans, dependencies, and environment readiness line up with project milestones through UAT, client QA sign-off, and production cutover.
  • Maintain risk, issue, and decision logs that give leadership a clear view of delivery health across all clients.
  • Feed capacity planning by forecasting consultant and PM demand across active projects and pipeline, so staffing decisions are made ahead of need.
  • Build, maintain, and continuously improve the team's standard delivery framework of templates, tooling, runbooks, and governance artefacts. The framework is used across all engagements so that delivery is consistent, knowledge is shared, and any PM can pick up any account.
  • Capture delivery lessons and client use cases, and feed them into the product roadmap and repeatable implementation patterns.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is not a status-reporting role. Our Software Integration Engineers make sure the software is technically sound, matches what the client expects, and works in production. You make sure the project delivers: on plan, on scope, with risks surfaced, and blockers cleared.

  • 5+ years leading multi-disciplinary teams, ideally software implementations in capital markets, electronic trading, or fintech.
  • A track record of taking projects through to client go-live, including UAT, cutover, and post-go-live stabilization.
  • Experience working with software engineering teams to track delivery commitments, manage dependencies, and resolve schedule slippage, without direct authority over those teams.
  • Experience managing scope, change control, and budget on time-and-materials or fixed-price engagements.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the judgement to escalate at the right time.
  • Clear, confident communication with senior client stakeholders, including under pressure during production incidents.
  • Experience building or standardising delivery process, tooling, or reporting across a PM team.
  • A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

We'd love to see:

  • Technical fluency: comfort following integration and deployment discussions, working in JIRA, or challenging an estimate.
  • Experience with OMS/EMS platforms, the FIX protocol, or electronic trading venues such as Tradeweb or MarketAxess.
  • Resource and capacity forecasting in a professional services organization.
  • Exposure to treasury or money markets workflows.
  • Working knowledge of Fixed Income trading workflows and the trade lifecycle.

If indicated, please note that years of experience are a guide; we will consider applications from all candidates who can demonstrate the skills necessary for the role.
