In this role, you will lead the successful execution of projects involving the supply, installation, commissioning, and delivery of power transformers and associated electrical infrastructure. You will be responsible for ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in line with contractual and customer requirements.
Working closely with customers, engineering teams, manufacturing facilities, and supply chain partners, you will play a key role in delivering critical power infrastructure projects that support the energy transition and grid modernisation.

How You'll Make an Impact
- Lead the successful delivery of transformer projects from contract award through to final handover.
- Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and commercial performance.
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate the supply, logistics, installation, testing, and commissioning of transformer equipment.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, procurement, manufacturing, planning, commercial, and site teams to deliver project objectives.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks and opportunities, and implement mitigation strategies where required.
- Manage project financials, including forecasting, cost control, invoicing, and cash flow performance.
- Support contract administration, change management, claims, and project close-out activities.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure all project activities are delivered in compliance with company quality, health, safety, and environmental standards.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
