Senior Project Manager
Salary Range - £60,000 - £78,750
Location: Hybrid, based from Manchester, Warrington or Derby

The Programme Management Directorate is central to turning our ambition into reality. Operating at the heart of major engineering and infrastructure programmes, the team leads delivery across complex projects, enabling innovation, collaboration, and progress towards the deployment of next-generation nuclear technology.
In this context, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager to support the delivery of critical programme outcomes, reporting to a Programme Manager and leading a team of Project Managers. This is a high-impact leadership role that will shape the successful delivery of projects underpinning the development of a new nuclear power station.
Responsibilities
- Leading the delivery of multiple complex engineering, construction, procurement, and regulatory projects within a wider programme environment
- Managing teams of Project Managers, ensuring effective prioritisation, resource allocation, and delivery performance
- Driving project controls across schedule, budget, risk, quality, and stakeholder management to achieve programme objectives
- Reporting progress, mitigating issues, and embedding continuous improvement across projects and ways of working

Requirements
We're particularly interested in hearing from people with:
- A degree in engineering, science, project management, or a related discipline, and/or significant experience delivering large, complex projects and programmes
- A project management qualification such as APM PMQ or equivalent, or demonstrable experience leading major engineering projects
- Experience managing multiple work packages, budgets, risks, and senior stakeholder relationships within complex delivery environments
- Knowledge of project management tools such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, SAP, Excel, Power BI, or Power Apps, alongside the ability to communicate complex information clearly and effectively
Benefits
We offer flexible and hybrid working arrangements and would expect you to regularly attend one of our Rolls-Royce SMR locations as required, with occasional travel to support project and stakeholder delivery activities.

- Bonus: 12.5% (performance-related)

Our Application Process
Due to the safety regulations within the nuclear industry, applicants will be required to participate in additional screening. These are:
- Obtaining Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance
- Satisfactory completion of a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check
- Satisfactory completion of a basic financial probity check
