The job:
Our Senior Project Managers play a critical role in the successful delivery of complex client and internal projects, with accountability from initial scoping through to go-live and early-life support.
Their role combines strong delivery leadership, stakeholder engagement, and hands-on project management to ensure outcomes are delivered to a high standard, on time, and in line with client and organisational objectives.
Acting as a trusted delivery partner, you’ll work closely with clients and internal teams to translate requirements into structured, achievable delivery plans, while building strong and effective working relationships across stakeholders at all levels.

You’ll typically lead large, complex projects or smaller programmes, often involving multiple workstreams and cross-functional teams.
You’ll oversee delivery teams comprising business analysts, developers, testers, consultants, and release roles, ensuring effective coordination, clear accountability, and consistent delivery performance.
Here's what you'll be doing:
- Managing a team (size varies with project size, and as a senior PM you’ll get the bigger more complex ones or multiple deliveries to manage at the same time) of implementation consultants, business analysts, developers, testers and release managers
- Working closely with our clients to agree delivery requirements, milestones, governance, and agreed ways of working
- Working on projects worth upwards of £3m or multiple smaller deliveries
- Writing a Project Initiation Document (PID) and running project kick off meetings
- Developing and maintaining a project plan in MSP
- Operating within PMO standards and Procentia Ways of Working, adhering to internal governance and maintaining those standards throughout delivery
- Working in a consortium with offshore contributors
- Running regular (usually weekly) project progress meetings (via Teams); internal and external
- Producing project reporting in line with Procentia’s PMO standards
Key skills and experience:
- Extensive delivery experience (8–12 years), with a strong track record managing complex projects and multi-workstream projects end-to-end
- Proven leadership of software implementations, from initiation through to go-live and post-implementation support
- Strong planning and governance capability, including RAID management, dependency control, and structured delivery frameworks
- Excellent stakeholder management, with the ability to engage, influence and present confidently at senior/executive level
- Commercial and financial awareness, including budget management, forecasting, and control of scope and change
- Team leadership experience, leading cross-functional teams and driving accountability, performance and delivery momentum
