Senior Project Manager - Premium Doors, Joinery & Installation

Build something exceptional
This is an exciting opportunity to join an established, design-led business specialising in premium architectural door systems and bespoke solutions for high-end residential projects.
Working with leading architects, interior designers, contractors and discerning private clients, the business operates in a market where quality, design, technical expertise and attention to detail are paramount.
Now, the business is entering an exciting new phase — expanding its offering into installation and bespoke joinery to provide clients with a broader, more complete package.
We're looking for an experienced Senior Project Manager to play a pivotal role in making that happen.
The role
This isn't simply a role managing existing projects. You'll help build and lead the Project Management function, develop standards and processes, manage a small PM team and establish the operational capability needed to deliver increasingly complex door, joinery and installation packages.
You'll lead projects from technical design coordination through to installation and handover, working closely with architects, designers, contractors, clients and specialist subcontractors.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
You'll be responsible for:
- Leading premium door, joinery and installation projects from design through to completion
- Managing and developing a small Project Management team
- Coordinating technical design, manufacture and installation
- Managing specialist subcontractors and installation teams
- Maintaining exceptional standards of quality, programme and client service
- Managing project costs, gross profit and commercial risk
- Developing the processes and systems required to scale the installation and joinery offering
- Visiting clients and sites and resolving technical issues before they become problems
- Helping shape how the business delivers projects as it grows
The role is deliberately hands-on — we're looking for someone who enjoys being close to the detail rather than managing entirely from a distance.
Requirements
Ideally, you'll come from a high-end joinery, fit-out, interiors or specialist construction background and have experience delivering complex, premium projects.
You'll need:
- Strong project management and leadership experience
- A good understanding of bespoke joinery, manufacture and installation
- Experience managing subcontractors and site teams
- Excellent technical and commercial awareness
- Experience working with demanding clients, architects and designers
- A strong eye for quality, detail and finish
- The ability to build processes, raise standards and develop people
- A pragmatic, solutions-focused approach and the ambition to make a genuine impact

Why join?
The business is at an exciting point in its growth.
You'll be joining an established premium brand but at a stage where you can genuinely influence what comes next — helping develop the business from a specialist designer and supplier of premium door systems into a broader provider of premium doors, bespoke joinery and installation.
You'll lead the team, shape the processes, influence the standards and have the opportunity to progress into the wider management team as the business develops.
Benefits
- £85,000 - £95,000 basic salary
- Company Car
- Bonus
- Salary negotiable for the right candidate
- Hybrid working considered
If you're an ambitious Senior Project Manager with a strong joinery or specialist interiors background and want the opportunity to build something rather than simply inherit it, we'd like to hear from you.
