Senior Project Manager – Fit Out

The Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of a major healthcare fit-out project in London.
This is a complex and technically challenging project, requiring a senior construction professional with proven experience delivering healthcare, life sciences or high-specification fit-out projects. Reporting to the Project Director, you will take responsibility for the project through the remaining procurement, design, construction, commissioning, and handover stages.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day delivery of the project
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary project team
- Oversee procurement and key supply chain activities
- Lead design coordination and subcontractor design management
- Manage construction activities and specialist packages
- Monitor programme, progress, and critical path activities
- Maintain strong commercial and financial control
- Manage project risks, changes, and recovery plans
- Ensure the highest standards of health & safety and quality
- Coordinate commissioning, handover, and practical completion
- Maintain strong relationships with the client, consultants, and specialist contractors

About You
The ideal candidate will have:
- Significant experience as a Senior Project Manager within construction
- A strong background in fit-out and complex projects
- Previous experience within healthcare, life sciences, or another technically demanding environment
- Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and specialist subcontractors
- Strong knowledge of design management, procurement, programme, and commercial control
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills
- A strong focus on quality, safety, and project delivery
