3-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Full-Time | Hybrid Working | Southwark, London

Pay rate: £210.23 per day via PAYE or £273.72 per day via Umbrella

Are you an experienced project professional with a passion for tackling inequality and creating opportunities for underrepresented groups?

We are seeking a Senior Project Officer to support a high-profile programme focused on improving workforce equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) across London. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful change by working with employers, partners and stakeholders to improve access to good work and sustainable careers for groups who continue to face significant barriers in the labour market.

Working within a fast-paced environment, you will play a key role in the delivery of projects and initiatives that help employers develop more inclusive workplaces and reduce workforce inequalities across a range of sectors.

The Role

As Senior Project Officer, you will support the delivery of a portfolio of projects aimed at improving workforce diversity, social mobility and inclusion. You will work closely with employers, delivery partners and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered effectively, on time and to a high standard.

You will be comfortable managing multiple priorities, building effective stakeholder relationships and delivering outcomes within challenging timescales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the delivery of workforce equality, diversity and inclusion projects.
  • Engage and build effective relationships with employers, industry partners and key stakeholders.
  • Manage contracts and monitor the performance of external providers and delivery partners.
  • Plan, coordinate and deliver workshops, events and stakeholder engagement activities.
  • Support programme governance, reporting and performance monitoring requirements.
  • Contribute to the development of resources, good practice guidance and employer engagement initiatives.
  • Identify risks, issues and opportunities, ensuring appropriate actions are implemented.
  • Deliver projects efficiently while maintaining quality and stakeholder satisfaction.

About You

We're looking for an experienced project professional who can demonstrate:

  • Experience operating at Senior Officer level within a public sector, not-for-profit, community, employment or workforce development environment.
  • Proven experience of employer engagement and managing external stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience of contract management, monitoring delivery and managing supplier performance.
  • Demonstrable experience of planning and delivering events, workshops and engagement activities.
  • A track record of successfully delivering projects within agreed timescales and managing competing priorities.
  • Effective communication, influencing and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • An understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles and their application within the workplace.
