Senior Project Planner
Location: Aberdeenshire, Scotland
Salary: Up to £100,000 + Benefits
Sector: Energy / EPCM
Employment: Permanent
We are working with a leading EPCM organisation to appoint an experienced Senior Planner to join their project delivery team in Aberdeenshire.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on major, technically complex energy projects, taking ownership of project planning, scheduling and controls across the full engineering, procurement and construction lifecycle.
The Role
As Senior Planner, you will work closely with engineering, procurement, construction and project management teams to develop and maintain robust project programmes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Develop and maintain detailed Level 3/4 project schedules using P6
- Integrate engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning activities
- Establish project baselines and monitor progress against key milestones
- Produce critical path, float and schedule variance analysis
- Identify potential programme risks and recommend mitigation strategies
- Manage schedule updates, progress measurement and forecasting
- Produce weekly and monthly planning reports for project leadership
- Work closely with engineering and procurement teams to ensure programme alignment
- Support change management, schedule impact assessments and recovery planning
- Provide clear programme visibility to both internal stakeholders and clients

Requirements
We are looking for candidates with:
- Strong experience as a Senior Planner / Project Planner within an EPC, EPCM or major engineering environment
- Experience within energy, oil & gas, renewables, power, petrochemical or other complex industrial projects
- Strong understanding of engineering and procurement-driven project schedules
- Excellent knowledge of Primavera P6
- Experience developing and managing detailed project programmes
- Strong understanding of critical path methodology and project controls
- Ability to communicate effectively with engineering, commercial and project delivery teams
