Are you ready to lead the projects that will define the future of our growing airport?

About Your Airport

Newcastle International Airport is a multi-award-winning airport that proudly connects the North East to the world. In 2025, the Airport was recognised as Best Airport in Europe in the 2 to 5 million passenger category at the ASQ Awards, reflecting its commitment to exceptional customer service.

As one of the region's most important transport hubs, the Airport is investing in its future through ambitious infrastructure development, sustainability initiatives and long-term growth plans. Committed to achieving Net Zero Carbon status by 2035, Newcastle International Airport is recognised as a sustainability sector leader, operating its own solar farm, investing in fleet electrification and enhancing biodiversity through significant tree planting programmes.

This is an exciting time to join a business that is shaping the future of aviation in the North East.

The role

We're looking for an ambitious and experienced Senior Projects Manager to lead the Airport's infrastructure development and capital investment programme.

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects that will directly influence operational resilience, passenger experience, commercial growth and sustainability across the Airport estate. Working as a key member of the leadership team, you will provide strategic direction and leadership for the Projects Department, overseeing the planning, development, procurement and delivery of major infrastructure and capital projects.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
