Job Summary
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, Axiom, with the spin planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support Axiom, a company focused on critical digital infrastructure and delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
Flex intends to spin off its Cloud and Power Infrastructure segment into a new, independent publicly traded company, which we’re calling SpinCo, until the name is unveiled. The spin is planned for Q1 2027. If the intended spin occurs, this role will support SpinCo, which will focus on critical digital infrastructure, delivering end-to-end power and thermal management solutions for AI data centers and other mission-critical applications.
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Senior Projects Teams Lead located in one of our locations in the UK.
Role Description
Reporting to the Head of Projects, the Senior Projects Team Lead role involves leading and developing a team of Project Managers, overseeing the successful delivery of projects, managing resources and workloads, ensuring quality, safety and budget targets are achieved, and building strong relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
What a typical day looks like:
- Day to day management of a team of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers
- Mentor and encourage team members in the role of project management
- Assist and advise the team members with issues arising on projects under their control
- Conduct regular meetings with each member of the team to ensure knowledge of each team member's workload and project status
- Identify resources needed and assign individual responsibilities where appropriate
- Review and allocate new projects to team members following consultation with other SPTL’s
- Manage large value projects
- Deliver Projects to specification, on time, on schedule, in line with the company standards of Quality and Safety and to budget so as to maximize the profits of the company
- Create and execute project work plans and revise as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with the client, colleagues and any other associated third party
- Manage day-to-day operational aspects of projects and scope
- Review deliverables prepared by the team before passing to client
- Effectively apply our methodology and enforce project standards
- Minimize our exposure and risk on projects
- Promote, develop and extend any business of the company and at all times and in all respects conform to and comply with the proper and reasonable directions and regulations of the company
- Actively promote an open-door policy throughout the department
- Ensure that company values and vision are upheld at all times
- Work closely with the document control team to ensure project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and conscientious with a high standard of attention to detail
- Must be able to work accurately to deadlines in a busy and pressurized environment, demonstrate flexibility and understand basic electrical principles
- Proficient in English is a must to lead advance technical discussions with international teams and stakeholders
- Demonstrate Flex Ways of Working
- Be technically competent with various software programs, including Microsoft Office and SmartSheet
- Proven competence in handling large and complex projects in switchgear/Busbar/Modular solutions
- People management and leadership experience
- Proven competence in customer negotiations and management of stakeholder relationships
- Leadership qualification would be advantageous
- Project Management certification would be advantageous
