Senior Property Management Surveyor – Client Side
London | Hybrid
An established private property business is looking to appoint a Senior Property Management Surveyor to take ownership of a high-quality commercial property portfolio.
This is a genuine client-side opportunity, giving you the opportunity to move beyond purely advisory or agency-based property management and take real ownership of the performance, strategy and day-to-day management of a diverse portfolio.
You will work closely with senior stakeholders across the business, overseeing a range of commercial assets and acting as a key point of contact for occupiers, agents, contractors and professional advisers.
The Role
- Take ownership of the day-to-day management of a varied commercial property portfolio
- Manage relationships with tenants, occupiers, managing agents and external advisers
- Oversee service charge budgets, expenditure and recoveries
- Deal with lease management, rent reviews, renewals and general landlord & tenant matters
- Monitor asset performance and identify opportunities to improve income and value
- Instruct and manage external consultants, contractors and professional advisers
- Oversee repairs, maintenance and compliance matters across the portfolio
- Support wider asset management initiatives and contribute to portfolio strategy
- Provide regular reporting and recommendations to senior stakeholders
- Take ownership of key instructions rather than simply acting on behalf of an external client

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
