Senior Property Manager

Permanent | £50,000 – £60,000

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced block/property management professional who is looking for their next step and wants to join a business where there is genuine scope for career progression and increased responsibility.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in leasehold and block management, with proven experience managing a substantial portfolio of both residential and commercial properties.

Core Focus of the Role

As Senior Property Manager, you will take responsibility for a large and varied portfolio, acting as the key point of contact for clients, leaseholders, residents, and other stakeholders.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

  • Managing a large portfolio of residential and commercial properties.
  • Taking full responsibility for the day-to-day management of a varied block portfolio.
  • Managing client relationships and attending client and resident meetings.
  • Overseeing service charge budgets, expenditure, and accounts.
  • Managing contractors, suppliers, and on-site teams.
  • Overseeing planned and reactive maintenance.
  • Ensuring properties comply with relevant legislation, health & safety, and building regulations.
  • Managing major works and Section 20 consultation processes.
  • Working closely with surveyors, accounts teams, and other internal departments.
  • Dealing confidently with leaseholders, freeholders, RMCs, and RTM companies.
  • Managing escalated issues and providing a high level of customer service.
  • Supporting and mentoring more junior members of the property management team.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve processes and operational performance.

Skills You Need

We are looking for someone who has strong, proven block management experience and is ready to take the next step in their career.

You Will Ideally Have

  • ATPI or above – this is essential.
  • Significant experience in residential block/leasehold property management.
  • Experience managing a large and complex property portfolio.
  • Exposure to both residential and commercial property management.
  • Strong knowledge of service charges, leasehold legislation, and Section 20.
  • Experience dealing with RMCs, RTM companies, freeholders, and leaseholders.
  • Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A professional and proactive approach.
  • The ambition to progress into a more senior management/leadership position.

Career Progression

This role would particularly suit an experienced Property Manager or Senior Property Manager who feels they have outgrown their current position and is looking for a genuine opportunity to progress.

Our client is looking for someone who can develop with the business, take on increasing responsibility, and potentially progress into a management or regional leadership position as the organization continues to grow.

Due to the nature of the position, candidates should live within approximately 30 minutes’ travelling distance of Borehamwood and be comfortable commuting to the office/property portfolio as required.
