If you’re an experienced Senior Property Manager who knows how to keep a busy portfolio moving, solve problems before they escalate and confidently lead others, this is an opportunity to step into a senior role where you can combine hands-on property management with team leadership.

The Package:

  • Up to £30,000 DOE
  • Full-time or 4 days per week considered
  • Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
  • 1 in 4 Saturdays, 9:00am–1:00pm
  • Office based in Huddersfield
  • Established residential property business
  • Senior position within the Property Management team

Company & Role:

Harte Recruitment is working with an established residential property business in Huddersfield to appoint a Senior Property Manager to help lead its busy Property Management function.

This is a varied, hands-on position covering property maintenance, landlord and tenant communication, compliance, complaints and team performance. You’ll play a key role in keeping works moving efficiently while providing day-to-day leadership, training and support to the Property Management team and wider Lettings function.

The position is becoming available due to the retirement of a long-standing industry professional, creating an opportunity for an experienced Property Manager with leadership experience to step into an established operation.

The Person:

  • Previous experience within Property Management is essential
  • Previous experience managing or leading a team
  • Knowledge of property maintenance and day-to-day property management
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise and manage a busy workload
  • Confident handling a high volume of phone calls and emails
  • Comfortable communicating with tenants, landlords and contractors
  • Able to problem-solve and keep things moving in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive, proactive and someone with real character who enjoys being part of a busy team

The Senior Property Manager Role:

  • Handle incoming tenant repair requests and triage maintenance issues
  • Liaise with landlords and contractors to arrange repairs and obtain approvals
  • Manage ongoing tenant communications
  • Request funds from landlords where required to cover repair costs
  • Book contractors and coordinate access to ensure works are completed efficiently
  • Review outstanding works orders and follow up on progress
  • Review staff performance and provide day-to-day leadership
  • Help train new starters and share processes, guides and knowledge
  • Help ensure legal compliance and health & safety regulations are maintained
  • Resolve disputes and complaints professionally
  • Support the wider Lettings team with leadership and guidance
