Salary and benefits
From £52,200, plus an indicative bonus range of 16-32%, private medical cover, 38 days annual leave, excellent pension, 12x salary life assurance, career breaks, income protection, 3x volunteering days and much more.

The role
As Senior Proposition Manager, you’ll lead the development of our customer proposition and define the strategy for growth. Working across Customer Proposition and the wider business, you’ll use customer, market and commercial insight to identify opportunities, set a clear direction and translate the strategy into deliverable priorities. You’ll influence senior stakeholders, bring teams together around a shared ambition and help shape propositions that deliver better customer outcomes and support Standard Life’s growth ambitions.

What you’ll be doing
- Lead the development and evolution of the customer proposition, ensuring it is grounded in customer needs, market insight and good customer outcomes
- Define the proposition growth strategy, identifying where and how we can grow sustainably across priority customer segments, markets and channels
- Use customer, competitor, market and commercial insight to identify opportunities and inform proposition choices and investment priorities
- Translate the proposition and growth strategy into a clear roadmap, priorities and recommendations that support effective decision-making and delivery
- Build compelling business cases that balance customer value, commercial potential, operational feasibility, regulatory obligations and delivery considerations
- Work collaboratively across Proposition, Distribution, Marketing, Digital, Operations, Investment and other teams to align ambitions and turn strategy into action
- Influence and constructively challenge senior stakeholders, creating alignment around the proposition vision, strategic choices and growth priorities
- Track proposition performance and external developments, using evidence to refine the strategy, respond to emerging opportunities and manage associated risks

What we’re looking for
- Strong experience of developing customer propositions and shaping growth strategy within financial services or another complex, regulated environment
- A strategic and customer-led mindset, with the ability to turn insight and ambiguity into a clear proposition vision, choices and priorities
- Strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, with experience of assessing opportunities and developing evidence-based recommendations or business cases
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the confidence to influence senior leaders and create alignment across teams
- A track record of leading complex, cross-functional activity and turning strategy into clear, deliverable plans and measurable outcomes
