Salary: £51,000–£57,000 per annum (non-negotiable)
Annual Leave: Enjoy 42 days off each year: 30 days' annual leave, 4 paid closure days and 8 bank holidays
Pension Contributions: 10% employer contributions
Family Support: Enhanced maternity/parental leave and paid compassionate leave
Flexible Working: Hybrid setup with a minimum of 1 day a month in our office at The Mere, Upton, with easy access to Windsor, Maidenhead, Reading, the Elizabeth Line and the M4. Full-time (35 hours).
Job Description
As a Senior Psychometrician, you’ll play a pivotal role in managing and delivering the allocated psychometric elements of projects. You’ll focus on providing psychometric support and capacity training to our international clients. You’ll also be responsible for contributing to research reports and papers, being the subject expert providing specialist psychometric advice.

Key responsibilities:
- Ensure quality assurance procedures are in place, guaranteeing robust methodologies and compliance with organisational standards.
- Work closely with international project teams in shaping the design and delivery of psychometric research.
- Secure funding for the psychometric projects.
- Sharing the findings with the education policy and measurement communities within the UK and internationally.
- Promoting innovation and new approaches to psychometric analyses.
This role will involve occasional international travel, as and when required.
Person Specification
Essential skills and experience:
- Experienced user of R statistical software, as well as other statistical packages such as flexMIRT, SPSS or other IRT packages.
- Experience with CTT and IRT analysis and with real-world application.
- Experienced in the delivery of assessment or psychometric projects within the education sector.
- Ability to communicate analysis findings to a variety of audiences.
- Practical and well-organized approach to the analysis of data.
Other roles you may have experience of include: Advanced Specialist Researcher, Quantitative Specialist, or Quantitative Researcher.
