Senior Public Health Engineer | London
The Opportunity
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Public Health Engineer to join a leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy in London. This role offers the chance to work on a broad range of prestigious and technically challenging projects across sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, education, science & research, and mixed-use developments.
You will play a key role in delivering innovative and sustainable public health engineering solutions while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams throughout all stages of project development.
The Role
As a Senior Public Health Engineer, you will be responsible for the design, coordination, and delivery of public health systems on a variety of projects from concept design through to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and specify public health systems, including:
- Domestic hot and cold water services
- Above and below ground drainage
- Rainwater drainage systems
- Greywater recycling and rainwater harvesting solutions
- Sustainable water management strategies
- Produce technical calculations, reports, specifications, and drawings.
- Coordinate designs with mechanical, electrical, structural, and architectural teams.
- Manage project deliverables to ensure quality, programme, and budget objectives are achieved.
- Attend client and design team meetings, providing expert technical input.
- Support and mentor junior engineers within the team.
- Contribute to innovative and low-carbon design solutions.

About You
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A degree in Building Services Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- Proven experience in a Building Services Consultancy environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of public health engineering design.
- Experience working on a variety of building projects across multiple sectors.
- Sound understanding of UK Building Regulations, British Standards, and industry guidance.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and work effectively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Chartered Engineer status, or working towards Chartership, is desirable.
