We are currently recruiting on behalf of a leading US law firm, to assist them in their search for a new Senior PR Manager (Europe) in London. The role will lead their public relations efforts across the UK and European markets, helping to strengthen the firm profile at the intersection of law, business and innovation.

The Senior PR Manager will elevate the PR function, closely collaborating with the Global Director of Communications, local office leadership, partners and colleagues across the firm, to help strengthen the firm’s profile and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to shape and build a coordinated communications program aligned with the growth objectives and positioning of the wider firm.

The role will focus on media relations, deal and matter promotion, reputation management, thought leadership and support for awards and recognitions, collaborating with their London-based PR agency and with communications, marketing and business development colleagues globally to ensure an integrated, one-firm approach.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape and build a coordinated communications programme supporting firm growth and market positioning — with a particular focus on technology, life sciences, emerging companies and venture capital.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and executing strategic PR and media relations programmes.
  • Building relationships with influential UK legal, business, technology, life sciences and financial media.
  • Advising senior partners and leaders on communications and reputation.
  • Identifying and promoting compelling stories, transactions, disputes and market developments.
  • Developing integrated campaigns spanning earned media, thought leadership, social and content.
  • Leading deal and matter promotion across significant London-led and cross-border work.
  • Working closely with their London PR agency and global communications, marketing and business development teams.
  • Supporting awards, thought leadership and profile-building initiatives.

Requirements:

We’re seeking an experienced communications professional with at least five years’ relevant PR or external communications experience, ideally within a law firm, professional services organisation, PR agency or similarly complex environment. Suitable applicants will bring:

  • Strong UK media relationships and news judgement.
  • Exceptional writing and editorial skills.
  • Experience advising senior stakeholders.
  • The ability to translate complex legal and business issues into clear, compelling stories.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Sound judgement, discretion and confidence in a fast-paced environment.

Experience across technology, life sciences, emerging companies, venture capital, transactional or litigation practices would be particularly valuable.
