ABOUT THE ROLE

As Supply Chain Supervisor/ Sr. Purchasing Supervisor, you support the execution of the site’s supply chain activities with a primary focus on New Product Introduction, materials purchase & management. You drive sourcing, supplier development and end-to-end supply chain readiness for new product launches.

Working closely with the Supply Chain Manager, you act as a strong number two—providing day-to-day oversight, driving disciplined execution, and stepping in to lead when required. You take a hands-on approach to problem-solving, team coordination, and continuous improvement while building capability within the materials and warehouse function.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

NPI Supply Chain Leadership

  • Own end-to-end supply chain readiness for new product introductions, from concept through ramp-up
  • Partner with Engineering and Operations to ensure early supplier involvement and manufacturability
  • Ensure supplier capacity, tooling, and timelines are aligned with programme milestones

Strategic Sourcing & Cost Management

  • Define and execute sourcing strategies aligned to cost, quality, and delivery targets
  • Select and onboard suppliers based on technical and commercial fit
  • Lead negotiations to achieve cost reductions and long-term value
  • Deliver continuous cost improvement through design-to-cost and sourcing initiatives

Supplier Performance & Development

  • Build strong, effective relationships with key suppliers
  • Track supplier performance across quality, delivery, and cost
  • Drive improvement initiatives to strengthen capability and reliability
  • Lead resolution of supply or quality issues where needed

Leadership & Cross-Functional Impact

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and mentorship to supply chain team members
  • Collaborate across engineering, operations, and planning teams to deliver business objectives
  • Support a high-performance, accountable, and collaborative team culture

Risk & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify and mitigate supply risks across NPI and production phases
  • Develop sourcing strategies that improve supply resilience (e.g., dual sourcing)
  • Drive process improvements across sourcing, supplier management, and planning
  • Support ERP/MRP accuracy and supply chain data integrity

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in manufacturing supply chain operations in a fast-paced environment with a focus on NPI or project-based sourcing (manufacturing preferred).
  • Proven track record in supplier management, negotiation, and cost optimization.
  • Strong understanding of inventory control, material flow, and warehouse processes.
  • Working knowledge of Lean principles and continuous improvement methods.
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP preferred).
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to manage day-to-day execution while supporting broader objectives.
  • Familiar with TS16949 management system and ISO9001 QMS is preferred.
  • Professional certification CIPS, APICS/CPIM, CSCP, are advantageous.
