About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Developer to join our dynamic team in London, working on a hybrid basis with three days in the office per week. This role offers an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of technological innovation within the banking sector. You will play a pivotal role in developing and modernizing critical banking platforms, ensuring they meet the latest regulatory standards, security protocols, and leverage cutting-edge AI capabilities. Your expertise will contribute to building scalable, secure, and high-performance applications that support global markets, regulatory compliance, front office operations, and AI-driven proof of concepts.
This is a long-term strategic hire aimed at transforming the way banking technology is built, tested, and delivered. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams focused on diverse initiatives, offering exposure to a broad spectrum of financial technology projects. Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in Python development within the financial services or banking sectors. A university degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Proven experience in developing complex applications, APIs, and microservices is essential. Familiarity with regulatory technology, trading systems, front office platforms, or security engineering will be highly advantageous.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot
- Keen interest in how AI is transforming software engineering
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, containerization, and DevOps practices

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Python applications supporting various banking operations, including trading, regulatory compliance, and security initiatives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to modernize legacy systems and implement scalable, secure, and efficient solutions.
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
- Integrate AI and machine learning components into existing platforms to enhance automation and decision-making processes.
- Work closely with security teams to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and implement best practices for application security.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes impacting financial software development.
