We are working with a highly successful, technology-led quantitative hedge fund seeking Senior Python Developers to join its Investor Reporting technology team.
The team is responsible for producing weekly and monthly investor factsheets and risk reports. The existing process is heavily reliant on manual end-user computing, with data gathered from emails and Excel files before reports are manually produced and distributed.
The business is now looking to replace this EUC-based process with a scalable Python solution, building on an existing Python risk dashboard within the organisation.
The Role
This is a hands-on development opportunity where you will help design and build the replacement platform, while having the opportunity to influence the wider technical solution and introduce complementary technologies where appropriate.
You Will Work On Automating
- Data gathering and processing from Risk sources
- Investor reporting and dashboard functionality
- Report generation in Excel/PDF formats
- Quality checks and validation
- Investor distribution processes
- Audit trails, approvals and change tracking
- Processes currently dependent on manual Excel and email workflows

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
