Job Opportunity
A top tier banking client is in need of a Senior Python Engineer who builds the machinery behind enterprise data management: the information models, rules, catalogs, and services that keep vast financial datasets accurate, traceable, and ready for scrutiny.
This is a hands-on build role, not an advisory seat. You will write production Python every day, design information models, configure and extend an enterprise data catalog platform, and ship validation frameworks and integration services that the wider organization depends on, working with a modern toolchain where AI-assisted development is standard practice.

What We Are Looking For
- A substantial Python engineering background, around ten years of professional, hands-on development.
- Real ownership of an enterprise data catalog or metadata platform, for example Collibra, Alation, or Informatica: designing the models, configuring the platform, and making it work for the business, not just using it.
- Schema-driven development: building validated data structures, service interfaces, and automation in modern Python frameworks.
- Experience in banking or another heavily regulated environment where data accuracy and traceability carry real consequences.

Location and Engagement
- Glasgow based, hybrid working.
- Twelve-month engagement - IIR35.
