About The Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Python Software Engineer to join our dynamic team at ScanmarQED. This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining sophisticated Python modules focused on optimization and analytics. The ideal candidate will have a strong mathematical background, enabling them to create advanced algorithms and models that solve complex business problems. You will work closely with international teams, contributing to the development of scalable and efficient solutions that integrate seamlessly into our existing platforms. Flexibility in work location is available, with options to work in the UK, Netherlands, or remotely, providing a balanced and accommodating work environment. Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in Python development
- Proven track record of working on complex analytical or optimization projects
- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field
- Strong proficiency in Python, along with experience using scientific libraries such as SciPy, Pandas, NumPy, and Matplotlib
- Familiarity with modern development practices, version control systems like Git, and agile methodologies
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Keen mathematical aptitude
- Ability to work collaboratively in diverse teams
- Prior experience in developing scalable, high-performance modules for analytical applications will be considered an advantage
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced Python modules focused on optimization, analytics, and mathematical modeling, ensuring high performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, software engineers, and product managers, to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Implement and maintain algorithms that improve analytical processes and decision-making capabilities.
- Conduct code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure code quality and maintainability.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in Python programming, mathematical modeling, and analytical technologies to continuously improve solutions.
- Support deployment and integration of analytical modules into client systems, providing technical expertise and troubleshooting assistance as needed.
- Participate in international team meetings, contributing to project planning, progress tracking, and knowledge sharing.
