Senior Python Engineer | Backend, Product Engineering | FastAPI, GraphQL | AI FinTech, Series C | Greenfield Build | London Hybrid | Up to £125k + Equity | Work Abroad 90 Days/Year
The Company
We're working with a highly successful, fast-scaling AI FinTech transforming how data and workflows operate across global financial markets.
Their platform is already trusted by 300+ companies worldwide, including global banks, private equity firms, and asset managers.
Following significant growth and Series C funding, they're now heavily investing in new products and international expansion - including a completely greenfield product build requiring a new backend platform from the ground up for a Mobile app build.
The Role
You'll join an experienced engineering organization but work on a greenfield product, taking significant ownership of the backend systems and APIs that power it.
This is a product engineering role, rather than purely backend delivery. You'll work closely with Product, Mobile, AI, and Data teams to understand customer problems and build solutions end-to-end.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
