Senior Python Engineer / Quant Developer | Commodities | Outside IR35 | London (Hybrid)

I'm working with a global commodities trading firm that is investing heavily in its next-generation Pricing & Risk platform.

They're looking for a Senior Python Engineer to help build the technology that sits at the heart of their pricing and risk capability. This is a hands-on engineering role where you'll be developing high-performance systems for pricing, curve construction and VaR across Oil, Gas and Power markets.

  • Role Description:

    • You'll be working with Python and AWS to build scalable, cloud-native applications that directly support trading and risk teams.
    • The business is also moving towards real-time and intraday risk, so there's plenty of opportunity to influence the architecture and direction of the platform.
  • Requirements:

    • Strong Python engineering experience
    • Commercial experience within Oil, Gas or Power trading
    • A solid understanding of pricing, risk and curve construction
    • Experience in building production platforms

This is a long-term Outside IR35 contract with a global trading business where you'll be working on genuinely business-critical technology.
