Senior Python Engineer (GCP) | Outside IR35 | £700/day | 6-Month Contract

We're looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer to join a high-performing engineering team on an initial 6-month contract.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on modern cloud-native platforms, building scalable backend services and delivering impactful solutions within a collaborative engineering environment.

The Role

  • Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications and microservices.
  • Build and deploy cloud-native solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Collaborate with architects, product teams, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality software.
  • Drive engineering best practices, including code reviews, testing, and CI/CD.
  • Contribute to the design of scalable, resilient, and secure systems.

Essential Skills

  • Strong commercial experience with Python.
  • Proven expertise working with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Experience building APIs and distributed backend systems.
  • Strong understanding of software engineering best practices, testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
