Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Analyst to join the team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on testing expertise, a broad technical breadth, a solid understanding of Agile delivery, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design, and execute manual and automated test cases across multiple projects and platforms.
- Liaise with senior business representatives to plan, coordinate, and facilitate testing, including User Acceptance Testing.
- Perform API testing using Postman, including validation of request/response structures and data integrity.
- Write and execute SQL queries to validate backend processes and perform data verification.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, BAs, and Product Owners in an Agile environment, to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Log, track, prioritise, and manage defects using industry-standard ALM tools (e.g., Jira; Azure DevOps).
- Act as the cross-functional Team's primary liaison for quality, interfacing with 3rd-party, vendor, and client/business representatives as required.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
- Undertake and contribute to test planning, risk assessments, and estimation activities.
- Drive continuous improvement of QA processes and testing practices.
- Leverage test automation experience and knowledge of coding languages (e.g., Java/Typescript/C#) to create and maintain automated tests using common libraries (e.g., Selenium/Playwright).

Qualifications
Essential
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field, or equivalent work experience
- ISTQB Foundation
Desirable
- Additional course or certification in Quality Assurance
Essential Skills
- Extensive experience in software testing or QA roles.
- Strong experience of working within Agile/Scrum teams.
- Hands-on experience with API testing, ideally using Postman.
- Proficiency in the use of SQL for data validation.
- Experience using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools, such as Jira or Azure DevOps (preferably both).
- Ability to create automated tests using at least one framework/library with associated programming language (e.g., Selenium with Java; Playwright with Typescript).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Desired Skills
- Experience in non-functional testing techniques.
- Experience of leveraging AI/ML tools to augment testing.

What do I need before I apply
The successful candidate will be based in Northern Ireland and able to attend our Belfast office 2–3 days per week as part of our hybrid working model. The successful candidate must be eligible for SC clearance to enable work with Government clients.
