QUALITY ASSURANCE

What We Do

The Quality Assurance team owns the testing process, risk management, and quality evaluation of all products and functions across Epic. Our team works closely with developers and production to ensure the best possible user experience for our community and customers.

What You'll Do

Epic Games is looking for a full-time Senior QA Analyst on Fortnite Reload. The person in this role will work alongside the dev team to provide QA support for incoming game features for Fortnite Reload/Arenas, they will be involved in testing efforts along with assisting in risk assessment and mitigation. They will be required to work within existing processes, while simultaneously finding ways to upgrade and innovate the processes that currently exist. They will be ultimately accountable for end to end Test planning and Execution of assigned features.

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for feature level test planning and test execution of individual features, as well as conduct standard functional and qualitative testing types including performance tests, defect exploration and verification, happy path and negative testing
  • Generate analysis of outstanding defect load and recommend new areas of testing and areas to prioritize for fixes
  • Escalates issues to the right owners so major issues are visible and handled promptly
  • Proactively manage incoming defects and work autonomously on highest value tasks, be it test writing or test execution
  • Troubleshooting system and hardware issues in order to unblock testing
  • Able to perform test gap analysis and communicate this information to Stakeholders
  • Communicates with multiple parties to facilitate the flow of information from dev teams to test teams

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of testing experience in fast-paced environments, with the ability to juggle multiple projects at once
  • 3+ years experience in game or game engine testing required
  • 2+ years experience in Quality Assurance in a game development
  • Solid understanding of test methodologies, including functional, qualitative, and performance against consistently iterative development
  • Strong communication skills and ability to confidently collaborate with product owners and developers on technical topics and features
  • Excellent reporting skills for assembling data in an easily-digestible format
  • Test Planning skills for projecting test coverage needs in advance, while remaining flexible to cover urgent requests

This role is open to multiple locations across the US (including WA).

The expected annual base pay range(s) for this position are detailed below. Each base pay range is relevant only for individuals who are residents of or will be expected to work within the specified locale. Compensation varies based on a variety of factors, which include (but aren’t limited to) things such as skills and competencies, qualifications, knowledge, and experience. In addition to base pay, most employees are eligible to participate in Epic’s generous benefit plans and discretionary incentive programs (subject to the terms of those plans or programs).
