- Salary: £50,000 - £70,000

Role Overview 🚀
We are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to help shape and drive quality engineering practices across our technology teams. In this role, you will work closely with engineers, product managers and the wider QA Chapter to champion automation and embed quality earlier in the software development lifecycle.
You will play a critical role in evolving our testing frameworks, improving feedback loops and supporting the delivery of scalable, reliable products used by millions of employees worldwide. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about quality engineering, automation and continuous improvement to make a significant impact across the organisation.
Responsibilities 🤘
- Champion automated testing and promote an automation-first approach across teams.
- Design, build and maintain automated test frameworks and solutions.
- Define, execute and enhance exploratory, functional and automated testing strategies.
- Collaborate closely with engineers throughout refinement, design, development and delivery activities.
- Identify opportunities to increase automation coverage and improve product quality.
- Advocate for and implement shift-left testing practices across the software development lifecycle.
- Manage quality gates and support successful product releases.
- Contribute to QA strategy, tooling, standards and best practices across the organisation.
- Support performance, scalability and non-functional testing activities.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.

What are we looking for? 🔎
- Proven experience in a QA Automation Engineer, Senior QA Engineer or Quality Engineering role.
- Strong passion for test automation and modern quality engineering practices.
- Experience working with automation tools and frameworks such as Cypress, Selenium, Playwright, JUnit, Postman or Sauce Labs.
- Experience embedding quality earlier in the development process through shift-left testing practices.
- Strong understanding of testing methodologies and the testing pyramid.
- Experience working within agile software development environments.
- Knowledge of both manual and automated testing approaches.
- Understanding of programming languages, ideally.NET and/or TypeScript.
- Experience using Jira, Confluence and other agile delivery tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in distributed teams.
- Passion for learning, continuous improvement and adopting new technologies.
Bonus points for:
- Experience testing within cloud-based environments.
- Experience with performance and load testing tools such as JMeter or Gatling.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Docker.
- Experience working with MongoDB.
- TypeScript development experience.
- Exposure to SwiftUI or React Native applications.
- Experience contributing to open-source projects.
