Join a fully remote game development environment dedicated to creating engaging, high-quality multiplayer gaming experiences with a strong artistic identity. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring game quality throughout development, working closely with engineering, design, art, and production teams. You will develop comprehensive testing strategies, investigate complex technical issues, and help deliver polished, responsive, and reliable gameplay experiences. Your expertise will be particularly valuable in testing Unreal Engine 5 systems, multiplayer functionality, and networked interactions. This opportunity combines technical problem-solving, creative collaboration, and meaningful ownership within a globally distributed team.

Accountabilities

Test Planning and Quality Assurance

  • Define and execute comprehensive test coverage across game features, systems, and builds throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Create and maintain structured test plans, test cases, and regression suites based on technical specifications and gameplay requirements.
  • Perform functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and compatibility testing to ensure features meet expected quality standards.
  • Identify potential technical and gameplay risks early, helping prevent issues from escalating during later development stages.

Technical Testing and Bug Investigation

  • Identify, reproduce, investigate, and document defects with clear reproduction steps, supporting evidence, severity assessments, and relevant technical details.
  • Test game features and systems within Unreal Engine 5, applying a strong technical understanding of the engine to investigate issues beyond surface-level behavior.
  • Collaborate directly with engineers, designers, and other team members to diagnose defects, assess their impact, and validate fixes.
  • Investigate gameplay inconsistencies, system interactions, and technical failures to help improve overall game stability and performance.

Multiplayer and Network Testing

  • Test multiplayer and networked gameplay systems, identifying issues involving replication, connectivity, latency, synchronization, matchmaking, and player interactions.
  • Validate gameplay behavior across different network conditions and multiplayer scenarios.
  • Support internal playtests, translating observations and player feedback into actionable quality improvements.
  • Help ensure multiplayer features deliver a consistent, responsive, and enjoyable experience.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
