Senior QA Engineer
📍 Birmingham (Hybrid - 2 days per week onsite)
💰 Circa £55,000 + excellent benefits
We're supporting a purpose-driven organisation at the heart of the UK's transition to a low-carbon future, and they're looking to hire a Senior QA Engineer to play a key role in delivering reliable, resilient, and high-quality software solutions.
As the quality owner within an Agile Scrum team, you'll drive testing best practice, champion a quality-first culture, and work closely with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to ensure software is delivered to the highest standards.

- Defining and executing test strategies, plans, and test cases
- Building and maintaining automated testing frameworks
- Integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
- Managing defects through to resolution
- Conducting performance, load, accessibility, usability, and security testing
- Mentoring team members and promoting quality engineering best practices
- Collaborating closely with development teams in an Agile environment
What we're looking for
- Strong experience in software testing and quality assurance
- Proven automation testing experience
- Experience working within Agile software teams
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and continuous testing
- Experience with non-functional testing, including performance and security testing
- Ability to influence engineering teams and drive quality improvements
- Strong stakeholder and communication skills
