About The Role
IOHK is seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s testing strategies and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This role involves designing and implementing comprehensive test frameworks, championing automation initiatives, and working closely with development, product management, and other cross-functional teams to uphold the highest standards of quality. The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for analyzing requirements, developing test plans, executing tests, and identifying issues early in the development lifecycle. The position offers an excellent opportunity for a seasoned testing professional to contribute to innovative blockchain solutions, influence testing practices, and ensure the reliability and robustness of IOHK’s products in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate should possess over five years of experience in software testing, with a strong background in QA methodologies and best practices. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or JavaScript is essential, along with hands-on experience in test automation frameworks like Selenium, JUnit, or similar tools. A solid understanding of continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines, version control systems, and agile development methodologies is required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to develop comprehensive test cases and scripts. A degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field is preferred. Certifications in testing or quality assurance (such as ISTQB) will be considered an advantage.
Responsibilities
As a Senior Software Test Engineer at IOHK, your responsibilities will include:
- Defining and implementing test strategies and frameworks to ensure the quality of software deliverables.
- Leading automation efforts by developing and maintaining test scripts, tools, and processes that enhance testing efficiency and coverage.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams, reviewing requirements, designing test plans, and executing manual and automated tests to identify defects early.
- Analyzing test results, documenting issues, and working with developers to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to refine testing practices, advocating for quality assurance best practices, and contributing to the development of testing standards and documentation.
- Ensuring that all products meet stringent quality criteria before release, thereby supporting IOHK’s commitment to excellence and innovation.
