The Mission
Move fast and break nothing. The Engineering team’s mission is bold and clear: To build a technology ecosystem that serves as a "poster-child" for how enterprise businesses leverage the Shopify ecosystem to achieve exceptional results with agility, speed, and efficiency. This means deploying code multiple times a day. To do this safely, we need a robust, automated safety net.
This is a new role in our structure, and is critical to the success of our Technology function. You will be the guardian of quality for our Engineering. This is a hands-on engineering role: you will write scripts, build frameworks, and integrate testing into our CI/CD pipelines.
You will work across the Engineering squads, ensuring that our Shopify storefront, iOS App, and iPaaS middleware integration points are rigorously tested. You will deliver a fully automated, continuous testing model.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
