Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Senior QA Engineer to own quality assurance for a business-critical cloud migration and integration program within the financial markets industry.
The ideal candidate is an expert in API automation using Postman and has strong experience testing Java, React, MongoDB, AWS, and CI/CD environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain automated API test suites using Postman and Newman.
- Test REST APIs, microservices, authentication, authorization, integrations, error handling, and data validation.
- Create and execute functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end test plans.
- Validate React-based applications and confirm that migrated systems preserve existing business functionality.
- Verify data flow and integrity across Java services, MongoDB, AWS, and integrated platforms.
- Integrate automated tests into Jenkins CI/CD pipelines.
- Execute and troubleshoot tests in Docker and Kubernetes environments.
- Enforce quality gates, test coverage, defect standards, and release-readiness criteria.
- Perform root-cause analysis and collaborate with developers, DevOps engineers, and product teams.
- Support resiliency, scalability, and performance testing for high-volume financial systems.

Mandatory Skills and Experience
- 10+ years of QA/testing experience.
- Advanced hands-on experience with Postman API automation – mandatory.
- Strong experience with:
- Postman collections, environments, variables, scripts, assertions, and chained requests
- Newman and CI/CD test execution
- REST APIs, HTTP methods, JSON, XML, and API security
- Authentication and authorization testing
- Java-based applications and microservices
- React applications and UI regression testing
- MongoDB or other NoSQL databases
- Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
- Docker and Kubernetes
- AWS environments
- Proven experience in functional, integration, regression, and end-to-end testing.
- Strong defect management, test planning, reporting, and root-cause analysis skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Playwright for UI and end-to-end automation.
- Jest for React/JavaScript testing.
- K6 or another performance-testing tool.
- Experience with load, stress, scalability, and resiliency testing.
- Familiarity with SonarQube or other static code-quality tools.
- Experience in financial services, capital markets, post-trade, clearing, settlement, collateral, margin, or risk-management systems.
