Quality is everyone's responsibility. You'll help lead the way.
At MAB, we're looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our Technology team and help drive quality across a modern microservices-based platform used within the financial services sector.
You'll play a key role in shaping our approach to test automation, improving test coverage and supporting the delivery of robust, scalable and release-ready solutions. Working closely with Developers, Product Owners and DevOps Engineers, you'll help embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle and ensure our systems continue to perform at their best.
If you're passionate about automation, enjoy solving complex problems and thrive in collaborative Agile environments, we'd love to hear from you.
About The Role
As a Senior QA Engineer, you'll be responsible for driving quality across our technology platforms, with a particular focus on automation and quality engineering.
Working within a cross-functional Agile squad, you'll lead the design and implementation of automated testing frameworks, support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to the delivery of high-quality software. You'll work closely with colleagues across Engineering, Product and DevOps, helping to ensure quality is considered from the earliest stages of development through to release.
This is an excellent opportunity for an automation-focused QA professional who enjoys taking ownership, influencing best practice and making a meaningful impact
What You'll Be Doing
- Leading automation across your delivery stream, defining and improving test frameworks.
- Building and maintaining automated test suites covering API, integration and UI testing.
- Contributing to CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable and repeatable deployments.
- Partnering with Engineering and DevOps teams to improve test effectiveness and encourage a shift-left approach to quality.
- Analysing, investigating and clearly communicating defects, risks and testing outcomes.
- Carrying out targeted manual testing for complex scenarios where required.
- Using SQL to support data validation, troubleshooting and end-to-end testing activities.
- Collaborating with stakeholders across the delivery team to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
