Senior QA Engineer - Automation Testing
Playwright, Typescript, UI Testing, Front & Back-End Testing
Hybrid Working, Southampton. 2 Days a week onsite.
Applicants must be eligible for Security Clearance
£60,000 - £70,000 + Bonus & Benefits
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced Senior Lead Automation Engineer to join a large-scale project focused on onboarding a major public sector client and delivering highly secure communication services.
Responsibilities
- Lead QA activities within the development team and champion quality.
- Design and execute test strategies for new products and features.
- Review solution designs to identify quality risks and recommend improvements.
- Develop and maintain end-to-end automated tests using Playwright.
- Perform manual and automated testing across UI and API layers.
- Monitor test and production environments and support defect resolution.
- Continuously improve test coverage, QA processes, and automation frameworks.
- Collaborate with developers and stakeholders to deliver high-quality releases.

Skills Required
- Strong experience in Automation Testing.
- Hands-on experience with UI and API automation testing.
- Strong knowledge of test design, automation, and QA best practices.
- Experience with Playwright and Java, JavaScript, or another object-oriented language.
- Experience writing SQL queries.
- Experience working with AWS and SaaS products.
- A solid understanding of Agile development practices.
