About the Role

We're looking for a Senior Quality Analyst to shape quality across Allwyn's Cards, Payments and Digital Wallet platforms.

As the Quality SME for payment services, you'll play a key role in delivering secure, seamless experiences across card payments, Worldpay, Apple Pay, Google Pay and backend transaction processing. Working closely with Product, Engineering and delivery partners, you'll influence test strategy, drive quality engineering excellence and help shape the future of payments for millions of National Lottery players. We encourage applications from candidates who may not meet every requirement listed but have relevant experience and the capability to succeed in the role.

We recognise that great candidates come from a variety of backgrounds. We're interested in your skills, expertise and potential impact, rather than the number of years you've spent in a particular role.

What you'll be doing

  • Own quality assurance for Cards, Payments and Wallet platforms., including payment enablement.
  • Define risk-based test strategies, planning and provide clear quality assessments.
  • Lead testing of payment gateways, PSP integrations and digital wallets.
  • Perform API, backend and transaction validation testing.
  • Investigate defects, analyse transaction data and support root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to drive quality throughout delivery.
  • Identify opportunities to improve automation, efficiency, reporting and test coverage.

In short: You'll be the quality authority for payment experiences, helping ensure millions of players can transact securely and reliably across Allwyn's digital platforms. If you're passionate about delivering high-quality payment experiences at scale and want to help shape the future of payments at Allwyn, we'd love to hear from you.

What experience we're looking for

  • Proven experience testing end-to-end card payment journeys, payment gateways and third-party payment integrations.
  • Proven experience testing Worldpay or comparable payment service provider (PSP) platforms within complex payment ecosystems.
  • Proven experience leading and executing testing for Apple Pay, Google Pay and digital wallet integrations.
  • Proven experience defining and executing risk-based testing approaches to ensure appropriate coverage of complex payment journeys and integrations.
  • API testing experience using tools such as Postman.
  • Understanding of card payment processing, authorisation, tokenisation, clearing and settlement.
  • Proven track record of defining pragmatic, risk-based test strategies, accurately estimating testing effort, determining appropriate test coverage, and providing clear quality and risk assessments to technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
  • Proven experience investigating defects, analysing logs and transaction data, and performing root cause analysis.
  • Strong exploratory testing skills with the ability to identify quality risks and uncover defects across complex digital and backend systems.
  • ISTQB certification, Ministry of Testing Certification or equivalent practical experience.
  • SQL and backend data validation skills.
  • Experience identifying opportunities for test automation and collaborating with automation engineers to improve coverage and efficiency.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
