ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Are you ready to shape the future of quality across a global business platform?

As QA Leader, you'll own the vision, strategy, and execution of quality initiatives that drive exceptional customer and business outcomes across multiple markets. This is a unique opportunity to influence enterprise-wide quality transformation, champion modern quality engineering practices, and partner with senior leaders to embed quality into every stage of delivery. You'll lead through influence, develop high-performing global teams, and make a measurable impact at scale.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead the QA function through influence across a critical global business platform.
  • Define and evolve quality strategy aligned to business objectives and technology roadmaps.
  • Partner with the Global VP of Quality & DevOps on organisational initiatives while owning workstream execution.
  • Drive transformation from reactive testing practices to proactive quality engineering.
  • Build, mentor, and scale a high-performing QA organisation across multiple geographies.
  • Create career development pathways and succession plans for team growth.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning, innovation, and excellence.
  • Oversee enterprise test strategy, planning, and execution across the platform.
  • Coordinate complex multi-team testing initiatives and influence outcomes without direct authority.
  • Drive automation strategy with clear ROI and coverage metrics.
  • Own release management and quality gatekeeping for production deployments.
  • Implement quality metrics, governance processes, and reporting frameworks.
  • Balance strategic leadership with hands-on technical engagement.
  • Translate quality strategies into executive communications that inform decision-making.
  • Build trusted relationships across Product, Engineering, and Business leadership teams.
  • Champion quality within cross-functional forums and strategic planning discussions.
  • Represent the quality perspective in architectural and business decisions.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and accessible work environment where all Flighties feel welcomed, respected, and supported to thrive.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Approximately 15 years' experience in software quality assurance with progression into strategic leadership roles.
  • Minimum 5 years leading QA teams.
  • Demonstrated success building and scaling QA functions in complex multi-product environments.
  • Experience embedding quality practices and quality culture across engineering organisations.
  • Proven strategic leadership and organisational change management capability.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders and operate from executive to technical levels.
  • Expert knowledge of testing methodologies, frameworks, and quality strategies.
  • Strong experience with test automation tools including UiPath, Cypress, Playwright or similar.
  • Proficiency with Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and quality gates.
  • Familiarity with quality metrics, governance frameworks, and reporting.
  • Advanced testing certifications (ISTQB-CTAL or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience within global distributed teams preferred.
  • Travel industry, GDS, booking systems, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience advantageous.
