Senior QA Test Engineer (Manual / Automation Playwright Web Mobile) Bracknell to £70k

Opportunity for a skilled QA Test Engineer to join a major rebuild of a leading international payments platform, working within the Corporate Payments division.

As a Senior QA Test Engineer you will take ownership of quality across web and mobile applications, using both manual and test automation techniques (Playwright). You'll join an established engineering team and take ownership of testing and delivery across the full end-to-end lifecycle, working closely with Product Owners and Software Engineers to design effective test strategies, build and maintain automation frameworks and ensure new functionality is robust and production ready.

Your role:

  • Own automated and manual testing, with automation as the primary focus
  • Build and maintain robust Playwright automation frameworks and end-to-end tests
  • Test applications across web and mobile; mobile experience is desirable but not essential
  • Take ownership of testing for projects and deliveries from planning through to release
  • Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, frameworks and QA processes
  • Use AI tooling such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to enhance automation, development and code reviews
  • Contribute to QA best practice and mentor others where appropriate

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
