About The Role
A Senior Quantity Surveyor (QS) is required to join a Tier 1 contractor's commercial team on a major infrastructure project in Devon. This full-time, long-term contract offers a day rate of £350-£425, dependent on experience. The role involves full commercial control, including NEC contract administration, CVRs, forecasting, and procurement. You will manage subcontracts, compensation events, and change control, ensuring precise commercial reporting and final accounts. Close collaboration with operational colleagues is essential to project success. This position suits a commercially astute professional with a strong background in civil engineering. Our client, a leading Tier 1 civil engineering contractor, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join an established commercial team on a high-profile infrastructure project in South Devon.
The Role
- Commercial management of a major civil engineering project
- NEC contract administration
- Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs) & forecasting
- Procurement & subcontract management
- Compensation Events & change control
- Commercial reporting & final accounts
- Working closely with operational and commercial teams to maximize project performance

What We're Looking For
- Proven experience as a Senior Quantity Surveyor within civil engineering or infrastructure
- Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts
- Experience delivering major infrastructure or highways projects
- Excellent commercial reporting, forecasting, and cost management skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
