Job Purpose
LDG is a growing business that operates primarily across Northwest England. We deliver high-quality building envelope solutions such as curtain walling, cladding and windows supported by a strong commitment to safety, quality and sustainability.
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Senior QSHE Advisor to take ownership of our Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental management systems across the business. In this standalone role, you will work closely with operational, manufacturing and installation teams to ensure compliance with all relevant legislative, regulatory and customer requirements, while driving continuous improvement in quality, safety and environmental performance.
You will be responsible for maintaining and developing our integrated management system, ensuring ongoing compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards. Acting as a trusted advisor to the business, you will champion a positive safety culture, promote best practice and provide practical support to operational teams to achieve excellence in QSHE performance.
Key Responsibilities
Policy Management & Compliance
- Lead the maintenance and continual improvement of the company's Integrated Management System (IMS) in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements.
- Review and update health, safety, environmental and quality procedures to ensure compliance with current legislation, industry standards and company requirements.
- Lead operational teams in implementing QSHE policies and procedures across manufacturing facilities, offices and project sites.
- Develop, review and communicate standard operating procedures (SOPs), safe systems of work and management system documentation.
- Monitor legislative and industry changes, providing practical guidance to the business where required.

Quality Management & Auditing
- Support the management and development of the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring products and services consistently meet customer, contractual and regulatory requirements.
- Plan and undertake internal audits across manufacturing operations, office functions and construction projects.
- Assist with external surveillance and recertification audits for ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Investigate non-conformances, customer complaints and quality issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventative actions.
- Work with operational teams to identify opportunities for efficiency, quality improvement and waste reduction.
Site Visits & Operational Safety
- Conduct regular inspections, audits and compliance visits across manufacturing facilities and construction sites.
- Review and advise on Risk Assessments, Method Statements (RAMS), COSHH assessments and safe systems of work.
- Support project and operational teams in planning works safely and in accordance with company procedures and client requirements.
- Assist with incident, accident and near-miss investigations, ensuring lessons learned are communicated and embedded.
- Produce reports and trend analysis on QSHE performance, identifying opportunities for improvement.

Training & Culture
- Deliver toolbox talks, safety briefings, inductions and awareness training to employees, subcontractors and site teams.
- Promote a positive QSHE culture throughout the business, encouraging workforce engagement and proactive reporting of hazards and improvement opportunities.
- Support managers in meeting their QSHE responsibilities and developing best practices within their teams.
- Assist in the development of campaigns and initiatives aimed at improving quality, health, safety and environmental performance.
Supply Chain & Client Compliance
- Lead supplier and subcontractor assessments to ensure compliance with LDG's quality, environmental and health & safety standards.
- Assist with pre-qualification questionnaires (PQQs), client audits and compliance submissions.
- Maintain records and evidence required for accreditations, customer audits and tender submissions.
Key Skills and Experience Required
- Proven track record working in a similar standalone QHSE role within a manufacturing, engineering, or construction/installation environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of quality management systems (such as ISO 9001).
- NEBOSH General Certificate or National Certificate in Construction Health and Safety (or equivalent).
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential, as this role requires regular travel to installation sites.
Desirable
- Internal auditors’ qualification
- NEBOSH Diploma or other approved level 6/7 H&S qualification (working towards)
- Member of IOSH (Tech/Cert or working towards)
- Accident investigation
- Constructionline/CHAS platform knowledge
