Senior QA Automation Engineer (Mobile / API Testing)

Workplace: Remote
Rate: Circa £425 per day
Contract Length: 6 months

I'm working with an award-winning technology consultancy who are looking for a Senior QA Automation Engineer to join a new project.

This is a hands-on role focused heavily on mobile and API automation, with the opportunity to build automation frameworks from scratch and genuinely influence the wider quality strategy.

We're particularly interested in people with experience using API and/or mobile automation frameworks, Karate a huge benefit for this role.

Experience with others like Maestro, Playwright, or equivalent frameworks is highly desirable, alongside:

  • Mobile app testing
  • API automation
  • Java / JavaScript / Python / C#
  • Selenium / Cypress
  • CI/CD & continuous testing
  • BDD / shift-left testing
  • Building automation frameworks from scratch
  • Experience using AI/LLM tooling within QA

You'll also need to be comfortable working with developers, product teams, and clients, and be someone who genuinely cares about building quality into software rather than simply finding bugs at the end.
