Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Provide quality engineering leadership and support across the business, acting as the primary quality representative for nominated customers. Ensure compliance with customer, regulatory requirements, and quality management system requirements while driving continuous improvement, problem solving, and customer satisfaction.

Main Duties

  • Provide technical guidance and support on quality and process requirements across the business.
  • Ensure customer quality requirements are accurately incorporated into products, processes, and documentation.
  • Generate, review, and approve customer and internal quality documentation, including AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports.
  • Lead investigations into non-conforming products, customer complaints, and quality issues, ensuring effective corrective and preventative actions are implemented.
  • Review and approve product release documentation in line with customer requirements.
  • Support customer, supplier, and third-party quality audits.
  • Analyze quality data and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Mentor and support Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors, promoting best practice across the business.
  • Lead quality improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve process capability, and extend customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and support New Product Introduction activities.
  • Deputise for the Quality Manager when required.

Person Specification

  • Previous experience in a Quality Engineering role within an electronic manufacturing environment (Desirable)
  • Experience working to AS9100 and/or ISO9001 standards
  • Knowledge of AS9102 First Article Inspection requirements
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship skills
  • Ability to lead quality improvement activities and support cross-functional teams
  • High attention to detail with a proactive approach to continuous improvement
