Senior QA Engineer | Automation | Java | £50,000+ | Wiltshire
Are you a QA Engineer who loves automation, wants real technical ownership and is ready for your next step?
Transport Exchange Group (TEG) is looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our growing Quality Assurance team in Chippenham, Wiltshire.
This isn't a role where you will simply execute test scripts.
You will have the opportunity to build and improve automation frameworks, influence how we approach quality, work closely with our engineering teams and help shape testing across our SaaS platforms and mobile applications.

What you will be doing
As our Senior QA Engineer, you will work closely with Developers, Product Owners and other technical teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
You will be responsible for:
- Designing, developing and maintaining automated test frameworks
- Building and executing automated tests using Java and Playwright and/or Selenium
- Performing functional, regression, API and integration testing
- Testing APIs using tools such as Postman and Swagger
- Investigating complex defects and carrying out root cause analysis
- Supporting production releases and deployment validation
- Working with SQL, CI/CD, GitHub and Jenkins
- Identifying opportunities to improve automation, testing processes and overall quality
- Helping drive strong QA standards across our engineering teams

What we are looking for
We're particularly interested in hearing from you if you have:
- 6+ years' experience in Software Quality Assurance
- Strong experience with test automation
- Strong Java experience
- Experience with Playwright and/or Selenium
- Experience with API testing, including Postman or Swagger
- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience with CI/CD, GitHub and Jenkins
- Experience working within Agile software development teams
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A genuine passion for automation and delivering high-quality software

Location:
Bewley House, Chippenham, Wiltshire
Salary:
From £50,000 per annum, depending on experience
Hours:
Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:30pm
Working arrangement:
Office-based, 5 days per week
