Here at Curaleaf Laboratories, we're looking for an experienced Senior Quality Assurance Officer to join our Quality team and play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving our Quality Management System (QMS).
As a leading UK manufacturer and distributor of EU-GMP medical cannabis, quality is at the heart of everything we do. You'll have the opportunity to apply your QA expertise within a growing and evolving industry, helping ensure that pharmaceutical-grade medical cannabis products meet the highest standards of quality, safety and compliance.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QA professional looking to take on greater responsibility, provide leadership within the QA function and make a real impact on quality and compliance across the business.
The Role
As Senior Quality Assurance Officer, you will provide management and support across quality activities relating to GMP and GDP, helping to ensure the business maintains high standards of regulatory compliance across manufacturing and distribution operations.
You will work closely with Quality, Production, Warehouse and other teams, providing guidance and support while helping to develop a strong culture of continuous quality improvement.
As a senior member of the QA team, you will mentor and support colleagues and deputise for the QA Manager when required.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage and support the Quality Management System (QMS), including deviations, CAPAs, change controls, recalls, complaints and audits.
- Lead root cause analysis (RCA) for quality events, OOS results and customer complaints, ensuring effective CAPAs are implemented.
- Monitor quality KPIs, identify trends and provide clear quality reports to management.
- Support and participate in customer and regulatory audits, including responding to audit findings.
- Ensure GMP and GDP requirements are maintained across manufacturing and distribution activities.
- Promote and enforce SOPs, policies, procedures and controlled documentation.
- Mentor and support QA team members and contribute to a strong culture of continuous quality improvement.
- Support quality training across Quality, Production and Warehouse teams.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify risks and improve quality processes.
- Deputise for the QA Manager when required.

About You
We are looking for an experienced QA professional with:
- 5+ years' experience in Quality Assurance or a similar role.
- Experience leading, managing or mentoring a team, or providing support in a senior/lead capacity.
- A degree in Science or a related discipline.
- Strong experience with RCA, CAPAs, deviations, audits and quality metrics.
- Experience working within a regulated GMP/GDP environment.
- Demonstrable experience managing quality risks and supporting continuous improvement.
- Experience dealing with customer and/or regulatory audits and challenging audit findings.
- Strong communication, presentation and reporting skills.
- The confidence to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior management.
- A calm, practical and organised approach, with strong decision-making and prioritisation skills.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
You'll be someone who takes ownership, works confidently and can build strong relationships while maintaining a clear focus on quality, compliance and continuous improvement.
