Due to continued growth, long-term contract awards and company expansion, a global leading manufacturer of advanced engineered solutions to the Aerospace and Defence sectors has a new vacancy for a Senior Quality Engineer. The position will focus on strengthening manufacturing readiness, successful New Product Introduction and long-term product reliability. Offering excellent career development opportunities, quality professionals are sought with previous experience working in the Aerospace and/or Defence sectors.
The Role
- Ensure all quality activities, risk assessments and deliverables are completed in accordance with APQP requirements and a zero-defect launch.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality control systems to ensure compliance with industry and customer requirements.
- Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the Quality Management System, ensure quality processes, procedures, and work instructions are effective and compliant.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to address quality issues.
- Work closely with engineering & production to improve product quality to ensure the highest quality standards.
- Monitor change in customer specifications ensuring process owners implement change when required.
- Act as primary quality representative for key customers.
- Participate in supplier investigations and corrective action activities.

The Person

- Understanding of aerospace standards and procedures. (preferred)
- Proven experience leading root cause investigations and corrective actions.
- Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions
- Solid understanding of quality assurance management principles and practices.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the business.
- Engineering qualification preferred or qualified by experience.
