DP World Senior Quality Engineer Role
DP World are currently recruiting for a Senior Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Minworth.
This is a hands-on role that will drive product and process quality through data-led decision making and cross-functional collaboration. Working closely with manufacturing, engineering, suppliers, and customers, the Quality Engineer will lead initiatives to resolve quality issues, improve first-time-through (FTT) rates, reduce scrap, and support continuous improvement activities across the business.
How You Will Contribute
- Lead quality improvement initiatives across the operation, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies (e.g. 8D, 5 Why, PDCA, Shainin/Red X).
- Collaborate with internal teams to drive process improvements aligned with customer and business expectations.
- Perform internal and layered audits, ensuring compliance with quality management systems and standards.
- Engage with suppliers and customers to resolve product and process quality concerns in a timely and effective manner.
- Provide in-depth statistical analysis of production and quality data, supporting scrap reduction and FTT improvement initiatives.
- Drive improvements in the quality management system (QMS), including document control, reverse FMEAs, and warranty resolution processes.
- Participate in special projects aligned with operational goals and support the Quality Manager in delivering on KPIs.
- Write, review, and maintain processes and work instructions to meet internal and external compliance requirements.
- Support the management of the Integrated Management System (IMS), including ISO 9001:2015, and ideally ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.

What You Will Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Quality Management, or related discipline (preferred but not essential).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
- Strong understanding of QA/QC methodologies and continuous improvement principles.
- Auditing experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
- Skilled in analysing complex data sets to draw actionable insights.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills across all levels of the business.
- Internal/Lead Auditor qualification required.
- Six Sigma Green Belt and/or Lean certification is preferred.
- Hands-on experience supporting ISO 9001:2015 systems, with exposure to ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
