Senior Quality Engineer
Hunmanby, North Yorkshire | Full-time | On-site

We are looking for an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to join our team at our Hunmanby, North Yorkshire headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity to take a leading role in driving quality performance across the business, influencing key stakeholders, and championing a culture of continuous improvement.
The Role
As a Senior Quality Engineer, you will provide technical leadership across customer quality, supplier quality, audits, quality systems, and continuous improvement activities. Acting as a key escalation point for quality-related matters, you will work cross-functionally to ensure products, processes, and systems meet the highest standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading investigations into significant quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances
- Acting as the primary quality contact for key customers and supporting customer audits
- Driving supplier quality improvements, performance reviews, and corrective actions
- Maintaining and improving the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
- Leading internal audit programmes and supporting external certification audits
- Facilitating root cause analysis using structured quality tools and methodologies
- Leading cross-functional continuous improvement projects to improve quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
- Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities and quality planning processes
- Leading PFMEA, Control Plan, and process capability reviews
- Producing quality performance reports and analysing KPI trends to identify improvement opportunities
- Mentoring and coaching Quality Engineers and operational teams

About You
We're looking for a proactive and influential quality professional with a passion for problem-solving, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement. You will have:
- Significant experience within a manufacturing quality environment
- Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
- Experience leading quality improvement projects and driving measurable results
- Experience managing customer and supplier quality issues
- Internal and external audit experience
- Strong root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of quality tools and methodologies such as PFMEA, Control Plans, CAPA, and process capability analysis
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- The ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence change
- Strong analytical, organisational, and reporting skills

Qualifications
- HNC, HND, or Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, or a related discipline
- Lead Auditor qualification or equivalent audit experience desirable
